Change to Friday riding hours now 10-6

We have decided to close a little earlier on Fridays to allow for track grooming. Our goal is to have the track in great shape for you to ride on practice days as well as race days. Because of the dry hot weather over the past few weeks we have been unable to get the water down necessary to get the dirt ripped deep. A few extra hours with the water truck and hoses will really improve the conditions over the weekend. Our new Friday hours are 10am - 6pm. We hope this doesn't inconvenience our customers too much. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to streamline our program.

Nuclear Series round 3 this Sunday + Tuf demo ride!

Back to back Nukes! Round 3 is this Sunday. Look for lots of new things this weekend. We will be running the track a little differently by including the back dropaway and step up out of the woods in the layout.

Tuf Performance is our round 3 sponsor. Dave will be out with his high performance CRF 250 and CRF 450 bikes for you to ride on Saturday! Tuf will also have some great surprise deals and goodies from UFO and Tuf Performance engine projects.

Nuke 2 this Sunday - time to step it up! Practice on Friday weather permitting 10-7, Groomed track ride on Saturday 10-3 then racing on Sunday. This is a Kawasaki contingency event! Be sure to stop in and say hello to the Open Air crew. Open Air Powersports is our local Kawasaki dealer committed to MX. We are happy to have them out as our Nuclear Series round 2 presenting sponsor.

Open riding this weekend with Open Air Demo ride!

We will be open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday for an open ride weekend. As always check ahead based on the weather, but the forecast looks good so far. Open Air Powersports will be bringing out a brand new KX250F with fuel injection for demo rides. You will need to set up a time to ride through the shop. Call Ron or Bob at 81-991-9166.

Nuke 1 update

Just wanted to post an update. Anyone who was out for Nuke 1 certainly saw a helicopter at the park transporting a rider injured in the Open A class. The injured rider was Gary Beeman. Gary sustained a back injury in the opening laps of the race. I have spoken with Gary's parents today. Gary underwent successful sugery and is expected to make a 100% recovery. He has a long road ahead and I'm sure he would appreciate any notes of encouragement. Please direct any email to ADBeeman@gmail.com.

I also want to take a moment to thank the Motosports Park medical staff along with Byron Fire Department and React for handling a very serious situation perfectly. Their actions at the track lead directly to the positive news I received today.

Nuclear Series round 1 this Sunday

Round 1kicks off this Sunday! Our presenting sponsor and guest announcer is Brad Jerominski from Club 57. Brad has helped over the past week haul mulch and reclaimed dirt around the mx track. We also added a sand roller section. Photos posted below. The course should be excellent! We do have an open practice Saturday from 10am - 3pm. Racing starts on Sunday morning with signup at 6:30, riders meeting at 8:30, practice and racing to follow. See you at the track for a great weekend!

Big day Thursday

Good news: We got it done yesterday! We were able to resurface several sections of the track with deep wood chips. They are beautiful! We also put out tons of reclaimed soil from the low spots along the valley. Also beautiful. Not sure how many trips we made yesterday, I lost count around 100. The track is going to be killer for Nuke 1 and the Area Qualifier! A big Thank You out to Club 57's Brad and Mitch for rolling out the Vintage GMC along with Supercross hopeful Danny Sanders for all the help!

Bad news: It rained all night. No practice Friday. Look for an update on the weekend plan later this evening.
